Bowls are the quietest volume line in a titanium range: cheap to tool, easy to pack, and usually sold with a spoon attached. Two decisions shape the whole assortment - wall construction and capacity. Here is how each one changes what you can promise a buyer.
Double-wall or single-wall: what actually changes
A double-wall bowl seals an air gap between two titanium shells. The gap slows heat loss and keeps the outer wall cool enough to hold with bare hands while the contents are hot. Our 350 ml double-wall bowl weighs 85 g - light enough for a backpack, stable enough for a child.
A single-wall bowl is plain titanium: nothing to seal, nothing to fail, and about 20-30 g lighter per piece. It costs less to buy, dents less in transit, and is the version most wholesale buyers open with.
The practical buying rule: specify double-wall for anything served hot or handed to children, and single-wall for cold prep, mixing and dry storage. Both are grade 1 titanium with no coating to flake.
Capacity: 350 ml versus 450 ml
350 ml covers a side of rice, porridge, oatmeal, soup or dessert - the portion size most ultralight meal kits and kids' sets are built around.
450 ml is the 138 mm family bowl: pho, udon, hot pot, large salads, and the bowl people reach for when the meal replaces the plate. It also nests with a 450 ml mug or a 2 L micro pressure pot, which is what lets a multi-piece camp kit pack flat.
Carrying both sizes is normal. Most of our bowl SKUs run as a 350 ml and a 450 ml version of the same shape, so a buyer can build a two-bowl set without mixing profiles.
Spoons, finishes and what ships as a set
A large share of our bowl range ships as a bowl-and-spoon set, because a bowl without a matching spoon is a support ticket waiting to happen. The pairing that sells is a deep teardrop or soup spoon with a flat anti-roll handle - long enough to reach the bottom of a 450 ml bowl.
Finish sets the price tier. Natural crystalline titanium is the neutral, food-first choice. Anodized colour is electrical oxidation, not paint, so it cannot peel and it survives dishwasher cycles. Colour versions - rainbow, blue-rim two-tone, gold-rim - are the ones that sell into gifting, kids' party and holiday retail programmes.
Packing finishes the SKU: slim cases for single bowls, padded pouches for sets.
How to build a bowl range that sells
Start with three pieces: a 350 ml natural double-wall bowl as the volume item, a 450 ml double-wall bowl in natural or one anodized colour, and one cased bowl-and-spoon set for retail hanging.
Then extend with colour instead of tooling. Anodized variants reuse the same die, so a rainbow or blue-rim version adds no tooling cost and can be tested in small quantities first.
