What this means commercially

Titanium supports a premium price because the differences are physical: it weighs about half as much as steel, never rusts, needs no coating and adds no taste. Buyers who count grams or care about what touches their food will pay for that.

Stainless steel remains the volume workhorse, and aluminum is the cheapest way into a category. Many wholesale buyers run two or three metals at once — aluminum for the entry price point, titanium for the premium line — rather than choosing one.

A note on anodized colour

Coloured titanium is not painted or dyed: the colour is an oxide layer formed electrically on the metal surface. It is food-safe and chemically inert, and a scratch simply reveals the silver titanium underneath instead of exposing a coating.

Frequently asked questions

Is titanium really better than stainless steel?

For weight, taste and long-term corrosion, yes — titanium weighs about half as much as stainless steel, never rusts and has no metallic taste. Stainless remains cheaper and is the better choice for volume value ranges.

Is anodized titanium safe for food?

Yes. Anodized colours are created electrically, not with paint or dye, so the oxide layer is food-safe and chemically inert. Our pieces are odor-free, stain-free and dishwasher-safe.

Should we stock all three metals?

Many buyers do: aluminum for the entry price point, stainless for everyday volume, titanium for the premium line. All three are available from us, so you can build the ladder in one place.
