Three Spoon Lengths in One Bowl Size: How to Read a Titanium Set's Spec Line

2026-10-08 5 min read
Cased titanium cutlery set with a 138 mm bowl, 160 mm fork, 165 mm spoon and 228 mm chopsticks

Capacity tells you the bowl. It does not tell you the cutlery. Six cased titanium sets in this range share the same 138 mm bowl, and yet their spoons run to three different lengths.

One bowl, three spoon lengths

All six sets print their contents in the spec line. Five use the same 450 ml bowl at 138 by 63 mm; the children's set uses a 350 ml bowl at 118 by 58 mm. Now the spoons. Among the five 450 ml sets the spoon is 165 mm in three of them, 160 mm in one and 185 mm in one - the same bowl, three different lengths in the hand.

Forks differ by three millimetres, and the knife appears once

Forks are listed at 160 mm in three sets and 163 mm in one, and two sets list no fork at all. A knife appears in exactly one set, at 186 mm, in the six-piece cutlery set. Three millimetres and one extra utensil are real SKU differences here, not rounding.

What stays constant

The constants are as useful as the variables. The medium plate is 147 mm in all four sets that carry one. The 260 ml cup appears in three sets, the 130 ml cup in the children's set, and two sets carry no cup. Chopsticks run 228 mm in five sets and 190 mm in the children's set.

So the plate and cup track the family, while the spoon does not. That makes the spoon a deliberate choice per SKU rather than a by-product of bowl size - and it is the one item buyers most often assume is implied.

How to write the spec line

Order by the full spec line, not by capacity. Two 450 ml sets with the same 138 mm bowl and the same 147 mm plate can arrive with a 160 mm or an 185 mm spoon - a 25 mm difference, which is the difference between reaching the base of a 63 mm bowl comfortably and not.

List capacity, bowl diameter, spoon length, fork length, cup volume, chopstick length and case type separately on the purchase order. MOQ is 5 pieces per SKU and mixing is normal; samples ship in 5-10 days and orders leave our Baoji facility within 72 hours. Send us the spec line you want on WhatsApp and we will confirm which set matches.
