23 Titanium Tea Sets All Say 200 g. That Is the Kettle, Not the Set.

Short answer: 200 g is the weight of the 800 ml kettle body, not of the set. Twenty-three SKUs in the kettles line share the 800 ml capacity and every one of them reports exactly 200 g - including the five whose names add a gaiwan or bowls.

Why do 23 different tea sets all weigh exactly 200 g?

Because the number describes one vessel. All 23 of the 800 ml pieces sit in the kettles line and all 23 publish 200 g to the gram, which no genuine 23-way spread of set configurations would do.

The tell is in the names. Eighteen of the 23 mention neither a gaiwan nor a bowl; five do, and they still read 200 g. A set that gains a lidded bowl and two cups cannot weigh the same as the bare kettle, so the figure is the kettle.

For a buyer this is not pedantry. Freight, carton count and sample costs follow the real kit weight, and the readable spec sheet gives the lightest possible reading.

What actually ships inside an 800 ml set?

The name tells you, if you read it as a parts list. Across the group, ten names specify a curved spout, five an eagle-beak spout, four a grab pot and three an Xishi pot - these overlap, because a name can carry both a spout style and a pot style.

Contents are the sharper signal: three names include a gaiwan, four include a bowl, and two of those four state two bowls. The 45 ml tasting cups that complete a gongfu service are separate SKUs altogether - there are thirteen of them, and not one publishes a weight.

So an 800 ml service is a vessel plus optional lid-bowl and cups, and only the vessel is weighed anywhere in the catalogue.

How heavy is the tea service per millilitre?

Against the 300 ml conical teapot the 800 ml kettle looks efficient rather than heavy. Seven 300 ml teapots all publish 123 g, which is 0.41 g per millilitre; the 800 ml kettle at 200 g is 0.25 g per millilitre.

The larger vessel is about 39 percent lighter per millilitre. That is a wall-and-construction difference rather than a titanium one: the conical pot is a thicker single-wall body, the kettle is a thin brewing shell with a wooden knob lid.

This matters when pricing two sizes into one range. Compared on grams alone the 800 ml looks the better deal, when what you are buying is less metal per millilitre.

What should a buyer put on the RFQ?

Four lines close the gap: vessel weight, kit weight, the contents list, and the cup weight. Ask for kit weight with the gaiwan and bowls installed, because that is the number freight will use.

The finish split is worth specifying too. Of the 23, seventeen are sandblasted matte and six are anodized, so a mixed order needs the finish named per SKU rather than assumed from the photo.

MOQ is 5 pieces per SKU, samples ship in 5-10 days, and stock orders leave our Baoji facility within 72 hours. Send the set configuration and we will weigh the actual kit on the bench before it is crated.
