Nineteen of the 360 SKUs name a coastal setting in the product name: five tablewares, five cups and mugs, four camp accessories, four pots and pans and one kettle. Eleven of the nineteen carry a published weight. Of all the terrains this range writes for, only winter names more pieces.
Five of them ship without a case
The coastal cutlery is the case-free part of the range. Five pieces in the cluster carry no case, pouch or packaging at all: a 15 g folding spoon listed for beach clean-ups, a 15 g folding spork for rock pooling and beachcombing, an 18 g straight-handle spoon for wild swimming, a 12 g fork for sea angling, and a 17 g spork for deckhand mess kitchens.
The reason is grit, not grams. Folding cutlery in a case is lighter to carry and worse on a beach, because sand gets into the case and then into the hinge. Removing the case removes the part that fails.
The cup gets a lid, and the anchor gets a hole
The coastal cups split cleanly. One is a 450 ml cup at 72.2 g with a fitted lid, listed for seaside camp dawn tea rituals; the open 450 ml cup without a lid is 58 g and listed for beach camping sunrise coffee. The 14.2 g of lid buys a drink that stays free of windblown grit.
The anchor is the other substitution. The coastal peg is 8 by 300 mm at 71 g and its own specification says big hole; the lakefront and riverbank versions run 95 g at 8 by 400 mm and 86 g at 8 by 350 mm. A hole is what a guy line ties through, which is the difference between a peg and an anchor.
What the coast asks for, and how to order it
The cooking side is a short list: a 4.5 L steamer pot and basket listed for steamed blue mussels, a 4.5 L stock pot for coastal lobster, a soup spoon and drainer duo for coastal delis, beach cookouts and clam shacks, a 2 L steamer insert for clam digging trips, and an 800 ml kettle for sea angling.
A coastal programme is a small, distinct assortment, like the winter one - but it moves the opposite way. Winter buys weight; the coast buys closures.
