Twenty pieces name a winter setting
Twenty of the 360 SKUs name a winter or alpine setting in the product name: four kettles, six cups and mugs, four pots and pans, three camp accessories and three tablewares. Fourteen of the twenty carry a published weight. No other season gets a named cluster anywhere near this size.
The pegs run from 6 g to 95 g on purpose
The lightest peg in the range is a 3 by 165 mm hook peg at 6 g, listed for ultralight tarp tie points. The winter pegs are the heaviest pieces on that line: 8 by 400 mm at 95 g, named for permafrost tundra and polar expedition tents, with an 8 by 300 mm at 71 g for alpine snow camps.
That is nearly sixteen times the weight, and it is not a failure of the ultralight idea. Snow needs a wider head and a longer shaft to reach anything that holds, so the piece grows because the ground got softer.
Winter pots get heavier; the kettle number does not move
The 2 litre pressure pot is the heaviest single piece in the range at 624 g, and it is offered in a snow-camping colourway. The 2.5 L steamer pot set is listed for apres-ski lunches and lodge kitchens, and the 4.5 L stock pot for winter neighbourhood dinners.
The kettles hold one number all season. Four of them name winter, and all four are 800 ml at 200 g - the same body the rest of the kettle line uses. In winter the volume you buy is the volume you boil.
Colour stops being decoration
One piece states the case in its own listing: on a winter night with a headlamp on, the frost scatters the beam, so the violet bowl and cup light up on a dark picnic table. Away from summer daylight, an anodised finish is how a piece gets found.
A winter programme is a small, distinct assortment rather than a slice of the summer range.
